Whitsundays Provisioning
PROVISIONING OVERVIEW:
The BEST option for YOU depends on your requirements of cost, available time, departure location and range required/specific food and menu requirements (Supplies can be at island resort prices if this isn't planned in advance!)
The methods CharterYachts recommend are below:
PREMIUM – for time saving, high quality, and ease of ordering – a truly seamless and full service process:
www.whitprov.com.au - You access their ordering system by clicking through your operating company - so that they know where to deliver, and can liaise with them directly to ensure a smooth provisioning process.
They have set preset menus that make it easy to order, which can be amended, or a self select ordering system. Packages are made up based on ‘gold’ or ‘platinum’ preferences. Price per head reduces for larger groups. Platinum $51-$60/guest per day. Gold $37-$46 per day.
• Beverages and Alcohol: they are licensed and can include in the overall order. Prices are around 30% more than normal bottle stores in Airlie Beach.
• Cold items are packed into your vessel fridges by your charter operator, other things are usually left for you to pack, so you know what you have and where it is! Also saves you any lifting or perspiration!
• Tobacco products are not available through Whitsundays Provisioning.
STANDARD – better value, but it takes some additional planning, and alcohol if required needs to be arranged separately:
Coles Cannonvale – directly visit (1.8km from Abel Point Marina) or arrange delivery online through https://www.colesonline.com.au. Coles in Cannonvale are very used to charterers using online delivery, and do a good job. Shopping selection is done by a ‘personal shopper’ that fills orders from the actual stock, and chosen as you would choose yourself. Quality is guaranteed.
Address: Shute Harbour Road (cnr Island Drive), Cannonvale click here for a map.

Key Questions Answered:
• You can plan your order as far in advance as you like, and book a delivery time up to 2 weeks in advance with amendments easy if you remember things in this time. Delivery is arranged within a 2 hour window.
• Deliveries are made in normal plastic bags, as it would be if you had taken them yourself, but delivered in a temperature controlled van, (cold boxes to Hamilton Island), so the charterer must be present to receive delivery.
• Due to Liquor Licensing in Queensland Coles are unable to supply alcohol (tobacco products are ok), and this would need to be arranged separately.
Hamilton Island - Postcode 4803
• Delivery Fee: $9 per order. Min 48 hours in advance booking time, and often booked out as they also deliver to the many cabins and houses on Hamilton Island, 10am-2pm delivery window! No deliveries on Saturdays or Sundays.
Airlie Beach - Abel Point Marina Postcode is 4802
• Shopping centre is only 1.8km from the Abel Point marina – a very short walk there and cheap taxi ride back, so easy to get to on the day, or arrange delivery through this link:
• Delivery Fee: $13. Must book by 9am previous day for delivery. No deliveries available on Saturday or Sundays.
• Alcohol: Marina Cellars (Bottle shop) is part of the Airlie Beach hotel, and prices are the same/cheaper at the marina than in town (this is where the locals come for their drinks)! No need to plan this in advance! www.airliebeachhotel.com.au/bottle.htm. Ice can be got from here, but it is slightly better value from Coles if it can be arranged.
Shute Harbour – Shute Harbour Marina Postcode is 4802 – 12.5km
• Airlie Beach is the service town for here – refer to provisioning options for Airlie Beach.
ALTERNATIVE:

Advantages
• Delivery the next day, EVERYDAY – they will discuss with you which ferry to send it on (they run all day), and send it at time that suits.
• Slightly higher price point than Coles (as with any smaller specialty store)
